The number to beat is 150. Derick reached a season high for the second straight game and the third time in his last four outings, exploding for 150 points in the opening round of the ACC Tournament.
The good news for Phil? Derick's done. Now, Phil will need 127 from Jeff Teague, Toney Douglas, Gerald Henderson and Derwin Kitchen to win the title. Together, they average 110.9 points. Phil already has 24 points from Ben McCauley, just a hair under his average.
For Derick, four starters surpassed their averages. Lewis Clinch (43) came within two points of a season high and Rakim Sanders (36) fell four points shy of his season best.

Oh, yeah ... 150! Pretty good, I know Phil's got a helluva squad and can top it, but I like the effort our boys gave tonight. If we lose, I have no problem with that because we played our best.
